finding myself getting extremely frustrated at the moment to the point of rage - almost - was in before work to do a 30 r20 70% HRR and after about ten minutes a guy changed the aircon from 17 to 20 - I asked him (while still rowing) to put it back (nicely - too nicely) and he said he was cold so I said turn it off then if he wanted - he left it at 20 - I went from pulling 1:50 splits to 1:58 and just got too pissed off to continue.
Lunchtime I wanted something more aggressive so set of on a r24 TT 30 min piece - coughing fit after 3 min - I recovered and got passed 5 min before I just could not be arsed basically - tried a couple of other things and gave up - getting severely pissed off with being ill twice in the last two months and losing so much fucking time!

oops lost a couple of meters - 30r20 70% HRR plus 2by1min
So lunchtime came round and set of on the 30r20 70% HRR - hoping I'd get a few more meters than the last two - I didn't - I lost some - lol ow well. Then on to the 2by1min of which the first felt absolutely horrible - luckily the second wasn't as bad - onwards and upwards
30r20 HRR 70% - bit more there this morning
After returning yesterday with a 30r20 HRR 70% ave 1:52.1 I was in with just enough time this morning to repeat the session and happy to report I scooped another 27m on it. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Better than expected - 30r20 70% HRR
Got married on Saturday :o) so much of last week was taken up with last minute organisation and collecting of UK based guests. Have to say the day went fantastically and couldn't of wished for anything more. Even had Q as my best man :o)
So today was first day back training after over a week and even then I was sick (still carrying some phlegm which is pleasant) but on the erg at lunchtime (had aimed at a row before work but the daughter still unsettled from the weekend meant a night of hugs for her). So 30r20 70% HRR and although not great I'm pleasantly surprised and happy with it. So - onwards and upwards! Did have a couple of coughing fits at the start which was interesting

30r20 70% - 500m pump
So just a 30r20 HRR 70% at lunchtime - ignore the first HR reading the strap wasn't sending probably - seems like there might be some light at the end of the tunnel
Boatcoach readout - got the HR showing now :o)
Then 500m pump targeting a sub 1:25 pace
Boatcoach readout - bit annoyed that boatcoach didn't email me my stats - well it did - but for the 500m cool down I did FFS

40r20 70% 1min pump
40r20 HRR 70% before work this morning and a 1min pump - used "Boatcoach" on my phone rather than ergdata - seems that it will collect data if i "upgrade" so might look at that. the 40min seemed a better pace than late although still miles off where I was. The minute felt nice and controlled :o)
Then as I had time I pumped a 1 minute out

8by2:30 r1 @20
8by2:30 r1 @20 before work this morning - aimed at sub 1:40 pace as when I looked back the closest session I found was from May 29th which was 2x4x2:30 [0:30][3:30] that came out at 1:38.9 first set and 1:37.8 second but being cautious still after time off.
result - 1:39.2
damn it - just found the session was done on 16th Oct this year - came out at 1:38.7 - still not too far off

30r18 75% HRR plus 2by500 1:30r
scheduled to do 50r18 70% HRR followed by 2by500m but being cautious with time at lunch I dropped it to 30min but increased the HRR to 75% (151bpm) again as earlier I turned the ergdata to watts to stop the number chasing
Then on to the 500m's and I can tell ya I was blowing some amount of carbon of at the end of these! Tried to tie in the new technique as much as possible which I find is a lot heavier on my thighs than the old one.

WATTS this number ? 60r20 HRR 70%
Well in order to help win the battle over the current slump which isn't helped by me chasing numbers I've decided to row my HR capped pieces by WATTS for the time being - if I get to used to that I'll swap to calories lol - so 60r20 at 70% HRR turned out at 242 ave WATTS
Now the good news is that I looked back at my recent 60r20 70% HRR rows and found one from the 29th Sep which was almost as slow 1:52.7 ave on that day - at lunchtime I pulled a 6:14 r24 2k - so maybe all is not lost
