Stuggling = return to basics = meters. So 75r20 plus 40r20 70% HRR
Weekend of no rowing (picked up new car though) and lack of sleep meant Monday and Tuesday where troubled and broken rowing sessions - so today was back to basics - meters - stuck on a film on my phone and had that on top the monitor and dialled in 75 minutes before work r20 HRR 70%
The same at lunchtime but only 40 minutes - job done - feel better already

30r18 recovery row HRR 70%
New Q-Power training schedule out and it calls for a 30min TT today - so with it being a 30min race night series on Rowpro tonight I signed up for it - should be fun with new Q-Power team member Dave signed up and Lewin :-D good mix of nationalities on there also http://therowingcompany.com/rns/entries So as I had a lunchtime to kill I just went through a 30r18 "recovery row" at HRR 70% - although I did go slightly over in places by a few beats - this was mainly due to thinking about racing though  happy enough with the row - but the right thigh/groin/knee still having niggles so I may only hit 95% tonight and aim around 1:41 - we'll see how I feel later.

30r20 HRR 70% - continued post 100k recovery
Keeping on the recovery trail for the moment - giving the body time to regroup - aside from the minor skin loss and slight groin strain I've now broken out in a heat rash which I've experienced before after the endurance sessions - ow well there's always a price to pay - still the row went well. Slightly faster than yesterday with a reduction in stroke rate for the same HR :-)

30r20 HRR 70% recovery row
Well seems like I didn't quite get away with yesterday's 50k "bum grate" free - although I still managed today's row - in the shower after it was evident there was a distinct loss of skin - ouch - still it's only skin it'll grow back.
Kind of enjoyed today's row - normally I do this @18 on a similar pace - my poor body

30r18 HRR 70% Post Marathon
System testing myself today to see what damage if any I did yesterday, not too bad, knee still causing slight discomfort, just need to keep an eye on it. Strangely the place most sore is the ab area, they must have had a good work out yesterday, that combined with me dropping below 110kg for the first time since my 20's probably, could mean by holidays in October I could have a "beach bod"
Oh dear, I cocked up, I just did 30r18 based on last weeks workouts, but last week I did 30r20's at 70% HRR. OK in that case system test concludes that my body is fine, the brain is fried, still sub 1:50 pace for 70% HRR 30min on r18 I'll take it, Q will be pleased ;-)

30r20 70% HRR on a still grated butt
Fitting in what I can with work and grazing meant returning to the 30r20 with HRR 70% (ish) - had to move into the gym today as the massage lady is in my usual room - did go slightly over at the end but nothing drastic - had a few folk walk in and start chit chatting around me so it got me slightly distracted - good workout though and 1:49.5 split again. Butt not doing too bad - although as there was someone in the loo when I sprayed on the "spray plaster" my expletives remained silent - I'm sure it hurt more because of that

30r20 HRR 70% (146) more butt grating
On the way home from work last night on a member of the C2’s forum I tried to get some Germolyne "New Skin" - they don't sell it in Ireland - so I got “spray plaster” instead
You'll be pleased to know they sting as much as "new skin" the Mrs took pleasure in administering two lots of it - I'm sure I only needed one - but she assured me two was needed
So today i did consider not erg'ing as I packed my bag with my Godfrey Q-Power padded shorts - ye like I'm going to not erg for the want of a mere skin graft
The plan I decided was to stick with the 30r20 HRR 70% - knowing that the pain from these "injuries" tends to wear off after a few minutes - towel on seat off I set - 30 minutes late it still friggin stung on every back swing! Of course I then took the towel off for the cool down and not an ounce of pain – stupid feckin towel
Still Meters in the bank and tomorrow I will see how I get on without the towel with the Godfrey shorts – oh yes – I decided to administer the spray myself after my shower – the reaction was pretty comical as I launched the can across the changing rooms with an expletive every second – luckily no one was there to see my tears
