Back from the sick list - AM 40r20 65% HRR - PM 30r20 plus 2by1min

So back after 10 days away sick - managed to get two 30r20 65% HRR sessions in over the weekend but today I wanted to get back to it - started before work with a 40r20 65% HRR - struggle to get into the groove especially with the HR going higher than I'm used to for the pace - but slowly slowly catchy monkey

Then lunchtime came about and the weekly 30r20 was on the cards - I decided with the sickness to target a 80% HRR row (160 bpm) and look at the 1:45 - 1:46 pace .... errr. .... well I'm in a hurry to catch the monkey!

After that I slotted in 2by1min on 1min rest just to get the pump - no real target just concentrate on technique and stroke.

Back from the races - time to work on technique 30r18

Started today to adjust the technique and try and get those damn heels down which appears to have come about from opening my back to early so 30r18 on 65% HRR (and still tired from the weekend also aching a little) a bit messy split wise and finding it awkward but will persevere - feels like my stoke is shortening - but ergdata says it's not - gonna take some concentration as I increase pace/power - 8011m 1:52.3

There are now videos of the 2k - 1k and 500m in my Bristol blog

Bloody stomach is churning - bottom wobbling lol but last little bit done before the first race of the new season. As Ollie says "Turn up - Warm up - Row - Seemples" motto for the day then

just a 30r20 65% HRR

did dial in 40 min but decided at 30 to call a halt - body is tired so I'll give it a rest - well till tomorrow :o)

Also got a link to my 9 records in 24 hours blog on Row2k :o)

40r20 65% HRR struggle

Woke up this morning in a clammy sweat - lovely - sure signs the body still dealing with the weekends efforts so took my time getting ready for work and then just dialed in a 40min workout - r20 and 65% HRR cap - which came up pretty blinking fast for the pace I was doing - so then just settled into it - the gym was a little warmer than of late and it's pretty humid here. Still was feeling pretty stiff and achy through the row - but hopefully pushing the blood around will do me good.

lunchtime 30r20 plus 1min r16 challenge

followed up the pre work row with a 30r20 65% HRR at lunch and got a few more meters out of it - then took on a 1 min r16 row set on Facebook just for the craic - had to beat 291m which I managed

30r20 65% HRR

First row after the weekends jaunt - skin seems to be healing ok on the butt and hands aren't too bad - the worse hangover it seems is the feeling of having a hangover ie the body is still dealing with the excess chemicals in the body and trying to get everything back to "normal" so just feel euck - but from my days of having hangovers I know I always felt better after a sweat or two  ;-)

oh you'd think they'd come up with a better design for the chest strap than the metal piece which carves a hole in you

30r18 65% HRR - 2by1:30 1:30r

session 2 - 30r18 65% HRR - dropped the HR and SPM cap in order to allow the body a little recovery after having a slow session this morning - also the air con was blowing out hot air FFS! Then I wanted to see what 1m30s at 1:25 pace felt like - horrid - so I did it twice lol

Just a paddle - 40r18 65% HRR (136)

Just a paddle at lunch - was still feeling fried before I went down from the pre work session - but feel a lot better now  :-D interupted again today - by the instructor who came over for a chat 30min into the row   lost count of stokes so had to muck about to get it back on track.

No rowing tomorrow - Mrs birthday  :-D

I still have more fluids coming out of my nose than is right and a cough to kick to the curb - but after the last two weeks I'm just happy to say that I will be on the start line in Boston and raring to go :-D
